In October 2014, Gravitai worked with Mail Newspapers to architect its e-commerce site https://www.mailshop.co.uk so to offer a sophisticated online shopping experience which is designed to provide extra value and incentive for loyal readers by selling home, garden and lifestyle items from a select number of retail partners.
Using Salesforce Commerce Cloud, the architectural design required end-to-end integration across the ordering and fulfillment chains, including order payment gateways, order processes for retail partners, user-account authentication and product reviews.
As a publisher, Mail Newspapers reaches over 25 million people across print and digital each month, so the MailShop was built to appeal to a huge range of people, along with technical scalability and reliability in mind. The shop offers up to 80,000 product lines across home, furniture, homeware, cookware, garden, and gifts, at a range of price points, with different levels of quality.
MailShop.co.uk gives Mail Newspapers a better insight into their customers and allows them to utilise the data to drive a better customer experience, more personalized customer journey and improve engagement.
